Commercial Filming
and Still Photography
The use of
property under the jurisdiction of Santa Barbara
County Parks for film and photo shoots requires
a permit ($60 cost), plus payment of a fee that
is based on one of the following categories of
use:
A. Feature films &
TV movies
B. TV series & music videos
C. TV commercials, automobile stills and videos
D. Educational & documentary films
E. Still photography on public right-of-way
F. Still photography on private property
Fees for use of
parks, buildings and grounds other than the
County Courthouse range from $30 to $450 per
day, depending on the category of use.
Use of the County
Courthouse ranges from $30 to $1,000, depending
on the category of use, and production is
limited to the exterior of the Courthouse only.
Production time starts at two hour increments
and goes up to a full day use. Please note: Use
of the Courthouse is left to the discretion of
the South County Deputy Director.
The Goleta Pier
may be used for film and photo shoots. Please
note: Use of Goleta Beach Pier is left to the
discretion of the South County Deputy Director.
