We are proud to introduce our new non-profit -- an organization sanctioned through an agreement with the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors and approved by the state of California. The Park Foundation has a straightforward and compelling mission: To promote resources for the development and maintenance of parks in the unincorporated areas of Santa Barbara County, in a way that cultivates their use and enjoyment.

The Foundation provides donors with a tax-exempt opportunity in which to deposit funds to directly benefit county parks and open spaces. We are a liaison between the public and private sectors. We seek grants from private and public sources, host fund-raising events, and promote membership in our organization.

This is a countywide effort. Our Directors live in and represent every corner of Santa Barbara County -- from the Ventura County line to San Luis Obispo, and from the Pacific Ocean to the Cuyama Valley.

We hope you'll join us! Together we can preserve the natural, cultural, and historical heritage contained in those lands placed in the public trust of Santa Barbara County Parks.
