Greetings all...since I was not
able to attend the Scenario session, I wanted to submit my preferences
electronically. As a member of the Goleta Beach Working Group I
support restoring the beach, park, grass area and parking spaces as they
were before the erosion stared several years ago. I support beach
nourishment and would like to see structures to help retain sand (the Ed de la
Torre plan). I do not support any form of managed retreat or lowering the
LOS provided by the Parks Dept. Instead, I believe the 1.5 million
people who visit /enjoy Goleta Beach Park every year deserve more
active recreation such as volleyball, horseshoes, beach side
basketball/handball courts as well as more grass/park, BBQ/picnic tables,
on-site parking space and restroom facilities. My apologies for
missing the past meeting, I was away on Gas Company business. See you all at
